Foreign Famous
Foreign Famous is a social media agency. We run the social media accounts of esports teams, brands and campus organisations who hire us, and this is the software we do it with.
What this software does
It does two jobs for the people who hire us.
It publishes on our client's behalf
A client connects their own accounts to us. Our project managers then write posts and schedule them, and at the chosen time the post is published to the client's own Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok or X account. A video goes up as a video, a set of pictures goes up as a gallery, and a caption the client approved goes with it. This is the service our clients pay us for — they hand us the content and the calendar, and we do the publishing.
It reports how those posts performed
The same connected accounts are read back for their public figures: follower counts over time, the views, likes and comments on each post, and which posts did best. Each client sees a dashboard of their own accounts and nobody else's.
Why we ask for access to an account
We ask for the narrowest access that lets us do the job above, and for nothing else. Plainly, per platform:
- YouTube — permission to upload, so a video our client has approved can be published to their channel with the title, description and thumbnail they chose. Read access so their dashboard can show the views and likes on videos we uploaded.
- Instagram and Facebook — permission to publish to the Page and professional account a client has connected, and to read the public engagement figures on what we published.
- TikTok — permission to read their profile and video statistics for the same reporting.
- X — permission to post, and to read the public numbers back.
We do not read private messages. We do not moderate or delete anything we did not create. We do not use any of it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone but the client it belongs to.
How a client connects, and how they stop
A client signs in on each platform's own website — Instagram's, YouTube's, TikTok's — and grants access there. We never ask for, see or store anyone's password. What we keep is the access token that platform gives us, the account id, and the links to posts we published.
Every connected account has a Disconnect button in the same dashboard. Pressing it revokes our access immediately. A client can also revoke us from the platform's own settings at any time, without telling us.
What we hold, how long we hold it and how to have it deleted is set out in full in our privacy policy.
Who this is for
This software is not a public product and there is nothing to sign up for. It is used by Foreign Famous staff and by the clients who have engaged us, and accounts are issued by us. If you are a client, the client login is here.
